José J. González is a Mexican-American artist, printmaker and craftsman based in Honolulu, Hawai'i. His print labor is based mainly in relief, serigraphy (screen) and lithography with inspiration drawn from social politics, Mexican-American culture and familial dynamics. His art has been featured in both formal and grassroots exhibitions and is included in several public and private collections throughout Hawai'i, including the Hawai'i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Pu'uhonua Society and HonBlue.

As a craftsman, González builds everything from skateboards to high-end cabinetry, retail fixtures and boutique furniture piecesAmong his recent works, González designed and built twelve Little Free Diverse Libraries for communities all over O'ahu in partnership with Hawai'i Feast and The Greener Reader. He continues to make work from his home studio in Honolulu and his workshop in Waipahu.
